Open Seminar 4: Tools for citizen for active participation in climate adaptation

Climate change is already affecting our daily lives. Through floods, heatwaves, or food insecurity, the effects of climate change are increasingly visible. But when communities come together, they can find smart and simple ways to prepare and stay safe. This free online seminar will show how local action can make a real difference. Participants will discover how neighbours, families, and local groups can build stronger, more connected and resilient communities.

As climate change continues to pose significant challenges to our environment and societies, individual actions play a crucial role in both mitigating its impacts and adapting to the changes already underway.

This seminar will empower citizens to take an active role in climate adaptation by showcasing practical examples of citizen-led and citizen-engaged initiatives from three innovative European projects, IMPETUS, ARSINOE, and TransformAR.

It will address the urgent need for local climate action by demonstrating the diverse ways citizens can contribute to building resilience in their communities: from participating in planning processes and citizen science, to leveraging digital tools and co-creating solutions. By highlighting successful projects and providing concrete examples, the webinar aims to inspire and equip citizens with the knowledge and resources they need to become agents of change, fostering ownership and collective responsibility in tackling the climate crisis.
