About REGILIENCE+
Climate Resilience: From Knowledge to Action
Building on the strong foundations and lessons learned from the original REGILIENCE project (2021–2025). REGILIENCE+ project’s primary objective is to harvest and synthesise adaptation solutions from the Mission Adaptation projects and other successful initiatives to make high-quality evidence accessible to those who need it most, especially Local and Regional Authorities to inform and guide their own climate adaptation journeys.
REGILIENCE+ serves as a flagship project of the EU Mission on Adaptation to Climate Change. By operating at the heart of the Mission ecosystem, we provide information on available solutions to regions, the National Adaptation Hubs, and climate adaptation platforms:
- Supporting Signatories: We provide direct support to the regions and local authorities, addressing their specific needs for “actionable knowledge.”
- Collaboration with MIP4Adapt and the AdaptionHubs: We work in close synergy with the Mission Implementation Platform (MIP4Adapt) and the National Adaptation Hubs (AdaptationHubs projects) to ensure that our resources reach the local and regional authorities that need them most.
- Bridging Projects: We coordinate with other research and innovation projects to harvest the adaptation solutions and disseminate them through products and activities targeting public administrators.

Mission
Our mission is to empower European regions and communities to adapt to climate change by making adaptation knowledge approachable, actionable, and replicable. We aim to ensure that innovative solutions do not stay confined to pilot projects or technical reports but are instead accessible and integrated into the daily governance of Europe’s diverse territories.
Vision
We envision a climate-resilient Europe where every region, regardless of its geographical location or administrative capacity, has the tools, expertise, and peer support necessary to protect its citizens, economy, and ecosystems from climate-related hazards.
Strategic Goals & Expected Impact
REGILIENCE+ is focused on delivering concrete, high-impact outputs between 2025 and 2027:
- A Comprehensive Set of Adaptation Solutions: We will identify and curate 150 proven adaptation solutions, including case studies, tools, and methods emerging from the Mission ecosystem and beyond.
- Actionable Knowledge Products: We will disseminate the set of solutions into over 70 multilingual communication products, training materials, and hands-on services tailored to the specific needs of regional and local actors, in several languages.
- Open Training Sessions (OTS): 5 online webinars to foster knowledge exchange and bring practical tools and case studies to local and regional authorities (LRAs), specifically focusing on integrating climate resilience into other sectors like transport, health, and water management.
- Country-Specific Trainings: 5–10 targeted, in-person workshops or peer exchanges in local languages to strengthen institutional capacities. These sessions will focus on replicating proven adaptation solutions identified in the project inventory.
- Event Organisation: Key events include the European Urban Resilience Forum (EURESFO) in June 2026 and the Mission Adaptation Fora to promote the project outputs.
- Technical Helpdesk: This demand-responsive service is designed to support LRAs in navigating and selecting their choices from the available portfolio of solutions. We cooperate with the National Adaptation Hubs (NAHs) and the Mission Implementation Platform (MIP4Adapt).
- Accessibility: We ensure the long-term sustainability of this knowledge by integrating our updates directly into platforms like the Mission Portal and Climate-ADAPT.
