Outermost Regions: facing climate change, leading on adaptation
The European Union’s nine Outermost Regions, from the Caribbean to the Atlantic and the Indian Ocean, are on the frontline of climate change. Despite their vulnerability, they are pioneers in adaptation, testing solutions that can inspire the rest of Europe.
Through REGILIENCE and sister projects, we launched a dedicated campaign to showcase their unique challenges, innovative practices, and policy needs. This page brings together the main outcomes: opinion articles, insights from EURESFO25, and the joint policy brief.
